Mary Kay Review

I often find myself getting stuck in a make-up rut. I buy large amounts of the same product because I know it works, but then I miss out on being able to try new things. It's so easy to be complacent and stay "inside the box." Which is why I was so happy to be able to do a makeup review. Thank you for getting me to branch out and try new things! And if you were wondering, yes, I am one of those people who always order the same thing at every restaurant.

So here goes my experience with the Mary Kay products.

I first tried the Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush. And let me just tell you- amazing! I loved the color and how using just a little went a long way. The blush has an iridescence to it, which was great. Not like your tween's wanna-be sparkle blush, a pretty shimmery iridescence.

Then I broke out the Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color Bundles which were three eyeshadows which were customized to make my hazel eyes pop. (Insert Kelly Clarkson's "Behind These Hazel Eyes") I used Honey Spice, Hazelnut, and Cinnaban {Yum!} to bring out those green hues in my peepers. And they did just that. I haven't worn 3 eyeshadows at the same time in a long, long time so it was nice to feel - dare I say- sultry for a little bit!

I also had a great experience using the Mary Kay Tinted Lip Balm Sunscreen SPF 15. Now, we all know I have a small obsession with lip gloss. So it was a HUGE change for me. I loved that it felt like I was just wearing chapstick. It was very moisturizing and I felt like I was doing something good for my lips. The color I had was called Rose, which by itself I loved. I don't necessarily think I will ever pair it with the 3 eyeshadows again but this was a special circumstance.

Then we get to the icing on the cake...Mascara! I tried the Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara. Can you say Va-Voom? I seriously have a crush on this mascara. I loved the way the wand grabbed my lashes. See for yourself...

Last but certainly not least all of these products fit in a magnetic compact. BRILLIANT! It's interchangeable and fit the blush, three eyeshadows, and makeup brushes in it with no problem. And the best part is that it isn't any bigger than the palm of your hand. Great product, especially for those who need it to be discreet. If it were up to me it would be hot pink and rhinestoned but I suppose not everyone can apply makeup in business meetings.

Overall I had a fantastic experience with these Mary Kay products. And you should too!!

Which is why we are giving away a Mary Kay gift pack valued at $100!!
